Measurement tech in a black shell: xade cube
Freiburg-based xade.tech builds illumination devices for precise colour measurement — housing parts, engraved nameplate and dust cover are made by Formulor.
The xade cube illuminates small objects with full-spectrum light (CRI above 97) in standard 45°/0° geometry — a controlled light chamber for colour measurement. To keep ambient light out, the shell is made of opaque black acrylic.
Formulor makes the lasered parts for xade.tech: the engraving of nameplate and logo, the cube's dust cover, and parts for the sister product line base. Precision counts twice here — the parts are both housing and aperture of an optical system.
Since 2023 we have referenced each other: xade.tech names Formulor as manufacturing partner, and we show the cube as proof that laser cutting can meet measurement-grade standards.
