Description
Cork is harvested from the outer bark of the cork oak. It has a fine, closed cell structure and low density, insulates well against sound and heat, and is flame-retardant. Since cork absorbs neither liquids nor dust, it also counts as very hygienic.
Laser cutting produces very dark edges — visible in the cut-edge demo above.
Typical uses: architectural models, pin boards, packaging.
Joining & gluing
By hand, cork sheets cut easily with a craft knife — thin ones even with scissors. Ordinary all-purpose glue bonds them well; for temporary joints in model making, simple pins do the trick.
Environment
The bark of the cork oak grows back and can be peeled again and again without harming the tree — cork is a thoroughly renewable resource.

Do I get the whole sheet?
No. You receive your cut parts, not the rest of the sheet. The sheet price is the basis for the calculation, not the scope of delivery.
